Memory Cafe in San Francisco
Tuesday, July 23, 2024 @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Free
Join us at Ruth’s Table presents Curious Minds Memory Cafe for art-making and a guided discussion.
Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment.
About this outing: We will be exploring Jasper Wilde’s art along with the community art created during the artist’s workshop in June. Working collaboratively, we will consider what makes abstract art expressive, and how abstract expressionist art uses color and mark-making to communicate feelings and a sense of place. Together, we’ll make a large collaborative piece using mixed media on paper.
San Francisco Memory Cafe meets on many Tuesdays at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
Please RSVP in advance to Amy Takemoto by emailing her at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org.
