Memory Cafe in Marin — 8/21/2025
Thursday, August 21 @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Free
Learn about the wonderful resources available through the Marin County Library! A special guest from the library will join us to talk about their digital resources, movie and music services, museum and park passes, and more. You can even get a free library card at this event. We’ll also be making music with Kathy Quain, music therapist.
Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
About this gathering: Adventure, entertainment and culture — your Marin County library brings it all into your home! Library Beyond Walls team member Willow Taraja will give a presentation about the many new digital resources, streaming movie & music services and museum and park passes available with a Marin County Free Library Card. We’ll learn about the cultural and informational events libraries host throughout Marin, which are accessible for all. Library services are free, and you can receive a Marin County Library Card during the visit. There will be Marin County library books, music and movies available to borrow too!
Memory Cafe meets on many Thursdays in Marin at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
RSVP in advance by emailing Amy Takemoto at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org.
Memory Cafe in Marin is sponsored by the JFCS Marin Donor Circle.
