On October 26, 2016, JFCS’ Seniors At Home was honored to receive the prestigious Nancy Martin Outstanding Nonprofit Award. The award recognizes organizations for outstanding service to older adults in Marin County.
Nancy Martin was an advocate for older citizens in Marin County and an active supporter of the Marin Senior Information Fair. The award, created to honor her legacy, was presented to Seniors At Home at this year’s fair by the fair’s Board of Directors and Steering Committee.
The fair was a success, seeing seniors, their families, and professionals coming out to learn about the various resources offered to the aging community in Marin County. Many local senior resources were represented, from county agencies and community services, to health services and much more.
