Linda Jacobson

Director, Holocaust Survivor Programs

Before joining Seniors At Home to help support Holocaust survivors, Linda Jacobson had been researching and developing digital technologies for use in medical and person-centered care. She previously held leadership positions at Penumbra, The Key, and Xerox PARC, and taught tech workshops at Bay Area senior-living communities. Linda recently earned a Master of Science degree in gerontology and management of aging services from University of Massachusetts Boston.

Linda started out as a writer, inspired by a BS in journalism from Boston University. Earlier in her career she co-founded and edited many publications, including SF Weekly and Wired. Linda enjoys hiking, biking, table tennis, documentary films, and live music (especially any with polyrhythms, a Bo Diddley beat, a second line, or a bissel klezmer).

Having grown up in a family and neighborhood of Holocaust survivors, Linda is grateful to be part of the Jewish Family and Children’s Services community honoring and celebrating our elders.
