Memory Cafe in Sausalito — 11/21/2024

Thursday, November 21, 2024 @ 1:00pm3:00pm

Free

Join us for a visit to the Bay Model Visitor Center to see a fascinating, working hydraulic model of San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento -San Joaquin River Delta Systems.

Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.

RSVP to Amy Takemoto by emailing her at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org.

About this outing: The Bay Model Visitor Center is a research and education facility built and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Their exhibits lets you view the complete Bay-Delta system not just on a screen, but in three dimensions in real life, complete with real water and “real” tides and currents. Note: Although the address for the Bay Model Visitor Center is on Bridgeway, the building itself is located on Marinship Way, which splits off of Bridgeway and runs down a small hill to the building.
