Memory Cafe in San Francisco — 9/9/2025
Tuesday, September 9 @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Free
Join us at Ruth’s Table Curious Minds program for a procession and celebration! Dress up in your most colorful, fabulous, and fun attire. We’ll make signs and then set off on a mobile dance party around the block—bringing noise makers, festive flair, and lots of joy along the way.
Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment.
About this outing: Our mobile dance party will take us past our friends at Community Music Center and 500 Capp Street. Back at Ruth’s Table, we will gather for snacks, reflection, and community connection. This is our second year partnering with Reimagining Dementia, and we’re delighted to welcome founding member Helen Abel. Together, we’ll raise awareness, destigmatize memory loss, and celebrate creativity and humanity.
San Francisco Memory Cafe meets on many Tuesdays at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
Please RSVP in advance to Amy Takemoto by emailing her at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org.
