Memory Cafe in San Francisco—3/3/2026
Tuesday, March 3 @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Free
Come explore the Cartoon Art Museum including the exhibit North for the Winter, a spotlight on the debut graphic novel by cartoonist Bobby Podesta. The veteran animator returns to his ink-on-paper roots for an ambitious tale of mystery, childhood, and holiday magic in an epic tale published this fall by First Second Books. A selection of Podesta’s favorite original artwork from the book will be on display alongside the classic artwork showcased in the museum’s ongoing Treasury of Animation exhibition throughout the winter months. Cartoon Art Museum has comic strips, comic books and anime to political cartoons, graphic novels and underground comix. This unique institution houses approximately 9,000 original pieces in their permanent collection.
Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment.
San Francisco Memory Cafe meets on many Tuesdays at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
Please RSVP in advance to Amy Takemoto by emailing her at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org. Include the date of the event, participant and caregiver’s name and which Memory Café event you are responding to in the email.
