Memory Cafe in San Francisco — 11/11/2025
Tuesday, November 11 @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Free
Join us at Ruth’s Table Curious Minds program for the first of two workshops to make your own ‘Care Capsule’ with Working Assumptions. This month’s theme is Mapping and Photographing Care. You’ll use your photographs, found images, and collage-making techniques to create visual stories that represent how human connection and care have shown up in your life.
Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment.
About this outing: Working Assumptions is a cultural nonprofit that explores the everyday give-and-take of family and care through visual storytelling, encouraging reflection and dialogue among our audiences and participants. The second workshop in this series – Collage Making and Caption Writing – will be next month.
San Francisco Memory Cafe meets on many Tuesdays at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
Please RSVP in advance to Amy Takemoto by emailing her at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org.
