Memory Cafe in San Francisco — 1/13/2026
Tuesday, January 13, 2026 @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Free
Come enjoy tea, light nibbles and friendly faces while we do a special Lunar New Year activity! Curious Minds’ participants, artist David Lee and his daughter, Katherine, return as co-hosts.
Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment.
San Francisco Memory Cafe meets on many Tuesdays at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
About this outing: David is a watercolor artist whose artworks find harmony between eastern and western techniques and subject matters. Together we will explore the symbolism of the horse as we look at some art, learn calligraphy brush strokes for the Chinese character (馬), and share our own experiences. Join us as we unleash the boundless energy and freedom of what The Year of the Horse will bring us!
Please RSVP in advance to Amy Takemoto by emailing her at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org.
