Memory Cafe in Marin — 9/25/2025
Thursday, September 25 @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Free
Come with us to explore the Wildlife Ambassador Zone at WildCare, a wildlife hospital, nature education center and wildlife advocacy organization. We’ll meet the animals, learn about them, and hear their stories.
Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Memory Cafe meets on many Thursdays in Marin at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
RSVP in advance by emailing Amy Takemoto at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org.
About this outing:
WildCare is located behind 251 North San Pedro Road, next to the Gallinas Little League Field in San Rafael. It is home to non-releasable, rescued wild animals. WildCare’s Wildlife Ambassador Program is a unique collaboration between animals and their human handlers designed to provide an enriched experience of animals on display. Through Ambassador Zone signage and interactions with our docents, visitors are introduced to each Wildlife Ambassador and learn the animal’s personal story. Visitors learn fascinating facts about the species as well as information about the environmental issues faced by wild animals today.
Memory Cafe in Marin is sponsored by the JFCS Marin Donor Circle.
