Memory Cafe in Marin—6/4/2026
Thursday, June 4 @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Free
Join us for an art session with Suzanne Reich at Vivalon’s Healthy Aging Campus. We’re partnering with Vivalon for an afternoon of close looking, conversation, and connection. This session includes art-based activities designed to benefit participants with memory loss and their caregivers, engaging and supporting both simultaneously. Together, we’ll look closely at an artwork, and share impressions, stories, and questions. Then, we’ll engage in art-making together, exploring mixed media collage in response to the artwork we have examined. We’ll take time to explore art materials and techniques, make connections, and share our work with each other. No prior experience is required!
Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Memory Cafe meets on many Thursdays in Marin at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.
RSVP by May 26 for this event, by emailing Amy Takemoto at Memorycafe@jfcs.org. Please indicate the date of the event, participant and caregiver’s name and which event you are responding to in the email.
