Memory Cafe in Marin — 3/19/2025

Wednesday, March 19 @ 12:45pm3:00pm

Free

Join us at Dominican University to take a docent-led tour of their exhibition The Art of Community: Together We Create and participate in an art session.

Caring for a loved one with memory loss doesn’t have to be a lonely job. Memory Cafe is a gathering for people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers (spouses, family members, or friends). Enjoy time with your loved one and meet others who are dealing with similar issues in a supportive and welcoming environment. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.

About this outing: The Art of Community: Together We Create is an art therapy psychology annual exhibition that highlights the transformative power of art and collaboration. It is on display in the Archbishop Alemany Library. Featuring the inspiring work of Dr. Jennifer Clay, along with Dominican University students, faculty and alumni art work, this exhibition showcases the importance of community in art therapy. We will meet in front of the Archbishop Alemany Library on the Dominican University campus.

Memory Cafe meets on many Thursdays in Marin at different locations. Participants must be accompanied by their caregiver.

RSVP required by March 10th. RSVP to Amy Takemoto by emailing her at: MemoryCafe@jfcs.org.
