Please join us for a lively and educational program offering information and resources for caring for a person with dementia and/or serious illness.
This program will include:
- Key issues facing those with dementia and their care providers
- Definition of Palliative Care and how it relates to serious illness and dementia
- What it means to be a patient advocate
- Advance Care planning 101—why everyone over 18 needs an Advance Directive for Healthcare
Redwing Keyssar, RN, BA, Director of Seniors At Home’s Palliative Care at JFCS’ Seniors At Home. Redwing is an author, educator, national presenter, and frequent contributor to the public debate about palliative care. She was awarded the Individual Compassionate Care Leadership Award from the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California in 2015.
Andrea Korsunsky, BSW, Director of the Center for Dementia Care at JFCS’ Seniors At Home. Andrea has worked with older adults with memory loss for over 12 years. She is dedicated to partnering with families and caregivers in order to find ways for them to connect emotionally and support quality of life for the individual with dementia.
