Palliative Care: A Pathway for Being with Those with Dementia

Tools for Advocacy and Supportive Communication

In this unique workshop, we’ll explore how the practice of palliative care can help you maximize quality of life for yourself and for loved ones with dementia.

You’ll gain:

  • Supportive communication strategies to accommodate changes in abilities
  • Ways to advocate for your loved one through changes in health
  • Tools to enhance quality of life and create moments of joy and connection

Led by:

Redwing Keyssar, RN, BA, is the Director of Seniors At Home’s Palliative Care Program as well as an author, educator, national presenter, and frequent contributor to the public debate about palliative care. Redwing was awarded the Individual Compassionate Care Leadership Award from the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California in 2015.


Andrea Korsunsky, BSW, is the Director of the Seniors At Home’s Center for Dementia Care and has worked with older adults with memory loss for over 12 years. She is dedicated to partnering with families and caregivers in order to find ways for them to connect emotionally and support quality of life for the individual with dementia.
