A 2017 study asserts that financial elder abuse costs $36.5 billion annually. In Marin County alone, financial abuse cases make up 32% of all referrals to Adult Protective Services. Nationwide it’s estimated that only 1 in 10 cases is reported.
Join the Belvedere-Tiburon Library and Seniors At Home for our next Aging with Style presentation as we welcome the Marin Financial Abuse Specialist Team (FAST). A panel of esteemed professionals will enlighten and educate on how to protect older adults against common financial scams.
